The issue described there is the literal suffix in:
> %ghost %{_mandir}/man8/sendmail.8.gz
A similar issue would occur in all the packages using alternatives and
managing a man page through that. In general alternatives are a PITA.
Fortunately, we only have a handful of such packages.
Those would need to be adjusted to use the new suffix in %ghost
and possibly also adjust the way that the symlink is installed.
