I tried to change the mcast-rates from 12 to 6 and also to 1 on all 6
routers with no luck.
I did notice something that Thomas asked earlier

My reply was not correct. after trying out the mcast changes i compared the
iw dev station dumps on all the routers. The units that are not able to
communicate have LISTEN states. But the rest have ESTAB states.
Example: These 2 routers are trying to communicate with each other
