so, we have a little problem here, pastebin is for transient data logs ( max 30 days if i remember correctly) and good bug reports need permanent logs! why can't both world be happy by just make bug report infrastructure pull out automaticaly, as permanent cached data, pastebin logs links?
is true, this nice kinky wish_to_be automations is for lazy persons who are so lazy that can not afford to upload logs twice, one time to pastebin and one more time in bugreport infrastructure ... this announce is also true for pastebin.sabayon.org? i think it is! ======================================= linux is free, but needed expertise to use this little beast is a personal, time consuming, continuous accumulation of knowledge and wasted time can not be rolled back no matter how much money you have selling free software can not bring to you too much money, but USING free software you can make a lot of money like Google ... or IBM your little help to free software development does not bring to you any money but can help you use it more efficiently, so you can make more money ... meanwhile, other users of that little free software program, using your contribution can make more money! nobody loses anything, all those who know how to use a free software program, in continuous evolution, wins registered linux user #352479 2011/9/23 Glenn Phillips <gl...@coriolis-storm.com> > why add something to scrape the Pastebin data into a file when its detected > in the bug input field... > if facebook can manage similar with their status ticker BS why can't we? > also James you comment is invalid as it contains a link to pastebin > > > On Fri, Sep 23, 2011 at 7:30 AM, James Cook <azerth...@gmail.com> wrote: > >> you mean like pastebin.com? >> >> http://pastebin.com/f1b94f49d >> >> On Fri, Sep 23, 2011 at 2:35 AM, Gary Clow <short_g...@hotmail.com> >> wrote: >> > Obviously a system needs to be created where by the data on paste bins >> get >> > merged into the ticket thus meaning only when the ticket is resolved the >> > data is "removed" this may require someone copying and pasting this into >> the >> > ticket.. >> > >> > The alternative is someone ask HP for a license to use HP SM7 to track >> > tickets...
