I guess I'm a little behind the times, but I just got an iPhone and so
finally had the chance to check out the FMS app.

It started out awesomely well, if a little slow to send the report (I
assume it was getting a GPS fix or something). I filled in all my
details but then checked the site and was a bit confused that it hadn't
appeared. Later on I saw the confirmation email, and hit the link to
post it.

When I got to the web page, it asked me to fill in some details. I hit
submit without doing that because the picture made it obvious what the
problem was -- it didn't like that and forced me to put something in. I
really didn't have anything to add so I pasted the one-liner description
into the box and pressed go.

So, my two thoughts are:

- The email confirmation step was a bit confusing, mostly because I just
didn't realise it existed and therefore wondered where my report was. I
guess it's important to do it, but it might be good to let people know
that in the app. Also, will it do it next time I report something? Or
will it remember that I'm a goodie and skip it?

- Is it really necessary to require a description?

Here's the report: http://www.fixmystreet.com/report/62854.

Overall it's a really nice app -- and I'm pretty sure it'll mean that
I'll report things that I otherwise wouldn't get round to doing. Win!
