DEMOCRACY FAIL. Expressing yourself to an elected representative is a
fundamental right.

Yes, Blears isn't her MP. However, a Cabinet Minister serves a) at Her
Majesty's Pleasure and b) with the confidence of Parliament. Their
responsibilities are nationwide, like their powers.

Being a citizen is not a mental illness, and nobody should treat people who
take part in citizenship as special kids who need to be warned off. Especially
not MySociety. If we do that, what are we for, exactly?

Further, she is not "unlucky". That implies that "luck" was involved. It was
not. Sacking her was a deliberate act that somebody decided to do, somebody
who could do it without the faintest consequences to themselves. If your
salary is £16k at age 38, being sacked is a terrible disaster you may not come
back from. Who is the line manager who pressed the button? What is his name (a
he, no doubt)? Can we get his face on T-shirts and billboards?

The problem here is the boss, in case you haven't noticed.
