The NSPD appears to contain GY, JE, and IM postcodes; without locations,
but it at least gives you a list.
So it does, the website only mentions UK and the order form only allows
you to specify UK countries, so I didn't think it would include the
Crown Dependencies. I feel a bit silly for asking now. :)
Given that they do exist, is there any reason why Mapit doesn't support
them? Obviously they wouldn't return any political data, but even a
"this postcode exists" would be useful.
As for bodies, it appears to be
http://www.gov.im/post/postal/postcodes.xml for Isle of Man and
Jersey/Guernsey Post for the Channel Islands. It's of course possible
they don't have co-ordinates and simply work on addresses. :)
I'm vaguely aware of Guernsey Post, though they don't seem to offer a
downloadable file in the same way as the Royal Mail, and their postcode
lookup doesn't seem to work, but I have dropped them an email to see if
they have this sort of data.
Thanks,
Paul
