I've thought about doing this, and decided the best way would be to spread
rock salt at some point in the "lifecycle" of the snow (I'm prepared to

Question then: is the rock salt in the Council "grit bins" supposed to be
used by residents or is it for the convenience of the Council only?
The label on the bin at the end of my road says "For Highways Use Only".
My interpretation of that is that anyone can use it, but they can only
do so on a public highway.
