This describes my view on the subject. Lets write something we can put up at
the entrance of our park how we, as the maintainers of the park, want to see
how people behave in it. We want to keep our park clean so everyone can
enjoy the beauty. Opening our park shouldn't be the first step. We first
have to put up some signs before we can open the park. We don't need
goldplated ones, cardboard is fine for me.

We need a page for 3rd-parties with guidelines just like the new contribute
page in the documentation for new mmbase developers. Just like I replied
earlier, I was under the impression that we were going to create such a page
in one of the followup shouting meetings. I first believed that we should
discuss everything on the list, but the last meeting has shown that we can
align better when we are face-to-face. The results (eg. A list of
guidelines) of these meetings should be communicated back to the
mailinglists.

I don't want to delay the 3rd party problem, but didn't the MMC organize the
shouting meeting to involve us (committors) more and solve the issue more
quickly? Everyone wanted a followup meeting as soon as possible to give more
input. I know Pierre promised us to do a vote a couple of weeks back, but
that was out of the picture for me after the meeting.

I hope this thread shows that we have to discuss this on the next shouting
meeting.
