Hi all,

By popular demand: I hereby call the vote for my new oscache based
cache implementation. I propose the following:

- Update of the 'caches' DTD to allow cache implementations to receive
configuration settings.
- Changes in 'Cache.java' and 'CacheImplementationInterface.java' to
allow the cache implementation to be configured using values specified
in the 'caches.xml'.
- Changes in 'MMObjectNode.java' to allow smart serialization
- A new application 'caches' that contains for now one implementation:
my oscache cache implementation. This application could grow to
incorporate multiple implementations.

By making this an application (and not a contribution), it means the
code will be maintained by the community. I think this is preferable,
since in the future people might have use for different cache
implementations. This code could then be heavily used by users, and
should receive decent support.

 START OF VOTING: 2005-11-11 13:30
 END OF CALL: 2005-11-16 13:30

Short description: changing some API's in the mmbase core, and adding
a 'cache' application.
