Hi all,

We agree with you and are trying to do so from some time ago. We have done
some web panels that replace part of e-smith's console. As we don't work with
Mitel SME (not enough new features, most of the contribs work for 4.1.2, RAID
support, heavy customization) all has been done for an ESGS 4.1.2 with all
updates applied, but guess some of it could be used.

> I believe that Jaime has already done something similar.

  We have allready achieved:

        1) Basic network parameters (internal IP and netmask, server name, domain,
primary and secondary DNS, external proxy and DHCP). It has been tested and
we will continue to develop it. It needs to reboot the computer.

        2) External interface Ethernet.- We have developed an external ethernet
configurator for a fixed IP scenario. It lets you choose the server mode
(gateway, server only, server only no internet) external ethernet IP and
netmask. It has been tested and we will continue to develop it.

        3) External Interface Modem.- Using e-smith dialup contrib we have improved
it a bit to support the setting of server mode, and solved a minor bug in the
code when the modem is disabled. It has been tested but development stopped.

        4) External Interface ISDN.- Similar to the last one but with ISDN. It adds
the possibility to introduce the calling number. Not working and not tested
as we don't have access to ISDN. Development of this contrib is stopped.

As I commented in this list some time ago, all the code is in SPANISH and
we don't plan to translate it to english in the near future as we don't use
it. I got a couple of volunteers that offered to make the translation but
have not received their response once I sent them the files (sorry Placido, I
received yours, hope once you get your computer back this will get done).

In the meantime I'm going to send to Dan the spanish files so every body
can use, test and improve them. As the next days are holidays here in Spain
and I have an already very saturated Tuesday, I will try to send them to Dan
on Wednesday.

  Hope it helps. Regards.
