The wording of your reply suggests that you think that such a solution is intrinsically impossible. Do you, and why? KSK is not a decentralised solution. Key types are not decentralised solutions - everyone uses the same key. This is not suitable for "names" because that involves mapping subjective strings to a pieces of data. The mapping is the most general type of mapping possible: many-to-many, ie. not a function, not one-to-one, etc etc etc. So you can't use keys. The distributed search system I'm working on, uses objects that point to each other to provide a network of tag-document mappings. To make this traversable, there is also a network of tag-tag mappings. To reach these objects in the first place, you use your contacts in a social network (WoT can provide this). As far as I can see, there is no potential for remote people to override local interests. I don't know if it's possible to stop remote people from overriding other remote people, but I suspect that this would be hard to do *in conjunction* with preventing spam (which is definitely important). In any case, if you manage to reach them "out-of-band", you can just add them to your local social circle. X
