Let me give you my rationale: All the other subwikis are not centered (manager, enterprise, extensions, platform, etc) and there's absolutely no reason to make an exception for the design subwiki. That the main wiki's home page is not centered is ok because it's a special page (the home page of the whole site) and it has some heavily worked UI (a la web site). This is not the case for design.xwiki.org which is more similar to extensions.xwiki.org. Now if you have some other "rule" that would justify having design.xwiki.orgbe centered please let me know.
