What are the pros & cons of each method? So far, I've read that some
methods require more hardware than others. And that one side controls
the vox versus another. What's the difference?

I don't use a desktop at home any longer. I use laptops since I move
all the time. My next computer might be a netbook. Do digital modes
work on netbooks? Thanks.
