I get the same output if I eliminate the -aspect option. But what I don't understand it why it's trying to scale at all. This is the information that the demuxer generates (I think):
==> Found video stream: 0 MPEG-PS file format detected. ==> Found subtitle: 0 ==> Found audio stream: 128 Searching for sequence header... OK! VIDEO: MPEG2 720x480 (aspect 2) 29.97 fps 9800.0 kbps (1225.0 kbyte/s) If the video on disk is 720x480 and my screen is 720x480, why is it up-scaling to 720x540? This is mplayer's prescaling code. It always wants to upscale instead of downscale and it doesn't know that our screen size is limited to 720x480. Something in the rest of the aspect code doesn't like this and you end up with a black screen. -xy 720 should fix this if the prescaling code makes the width too big but I'm not sure there's any way to fix it if the height is too big. -- Ville Syrjl [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.sci.fi/~syrjala/ -- Info: To unsubscribe send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe directfb-users" as subject. -- Info: To unsubscribe send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe directfb-users" as subject.
