Just a quickie. I should point out that I'm not *necessarily* "for"
or "against" offering these value-added services. I just think personally
that it needs to be researched carefully before being considered for
implementation. I would presume that the survey carried out on the website is
part of that research, and I commend Tucows for taking it, and involving
their customers - which is an important factor here.
I notice that the survey is still up on the website. I would suggest that
RSP's who feel strongly about this issue, and haven't filled in the form,
should go and do so now. The URL was in an email sent to all RSP's, so you'll
find it there. Or Charles or Ross might wish to post the URL. I ain't. :)
But wait, there's more...

Granted.

You might, but for the moment you would appear to be the only one who can
defintitively say you will. (I mean no offense David, and I'm not trying to
single you out or flame you, but I though the fact should be stated.)

And there's no solid proof that it won't. I mean, if I had an idea of the
services that were being offered, and the prices for same, I could judge
whether it would be commercially viable for me to outsource to OpenSRS or
stick with my dedicated machines. As it is, I have no point of reference, and
simply can't make a decision. You can, but I can't.
Which is exactly my point - this needs to be researched and discussed, and
more details should be released to RSP's as and when they become available. I
presume OpenSRS will do this, given their past history. So maybe this subject
is best left for now. There's been no announcements yet anyway.
Everyone, get out your copy of the Hitchikers Guide and read the words on the
cover... :)

PS. Yes, that was actually a quickie for me. :)
