Again I'll iterate that support is not required in this conversation. This
is not a technical issue but a policy issue - support is not the forum for
solving this. They're busy enough with CIRA 'stuff'.

Yes, you can.

Yes, they can.

However, if you own xyz.on.ca and someone else ALREADY owns xyz.ca, the
original owner gets preference if they pre-reg.

Pre-reg's/upgrades take precedence over advance registrations. Advance
registrations do NOT mean that you automagically get the domain name - it
means you're in the queue as a 'new' customer of the .ca namespace and will
be handled on a first come first served basis when the CIRA registry is open
come November 1st (ish, pending final date release).

Subject: Re: What happened to the domain? (OpenSRS Ticket #115360)

So let me understand.
If I own, xyz.on.ca, and someone advance reg's xyz.ca,
I can take that domain if I wish to upgrade?

I have advanced reg'd thunderbay.ca. Can the owner of thunderbay.on.ca take
that from me and my client?
If not, then why was lizard.ca taken from me and my client?

This make no sense to me. Nowhere can I find anything stating that upgrade
registration is priority over advanced registration.

Please get back to me asap. I have a very agitated client.

We wish to dispute this to the fullest extent.
