You will never be able to improve your service. All the companies does that.
The large companies such as ATT, SPRINT etc, always make studies by
companies specialised in calling and compiling surveys results. If you have
a restaurant, how do you know customers like your pizza if you never ask.
What if you had made a survey and discovered that 75% of your customers are
not comming back because there are too much mushrooms on your pizz.

This is a small example compared to the complexity of advanced customer
feedback and surveys, but it is BASIC in any business.
