Charles,

Are you sure you are charged a fee for deletions, or could it be that you
just don't get a refund after 5 days?  (I have no first-hand knowledge, I'm
just asking.)  Several other registrars do allow instant deletions at no
charge (some even refund the registration fee for deletions in the first day
or so).

Bulkregister as one example allows the member/reseller to delete a domain
name, free, without asking the admin contact, and has managed to keep their
accreditation.  (I'm not saying their way of doing things overall is better
than OpenSRS, far from it.)

I have a number of domain names I would like to delete, but it isn't worth
bothering support about, so I'll just set them to expire without notice
(sort of a slow deletion).
