I'm not sure they ever get deleted - I have several in my reseller list that
were transferred to other registrars over two months ago, without any notice
to me, and they still show the pre-transfer expiration date. Next month it
will be interesting to see if renewal notices are sent for them.
On January 23, OpenSRS support responded:
"We're aware of this difficency of our system. Our developers are working
on
this right now in fact - we expect these domains to be cleaned up soon.
We're
working on the notification as well."
