OK.... The time is here. Biz and info will both be up for
pre-rego soon - and I need to have things planned now. I
can't afford to miss a single day of pre-rego's, so....
When the time comes, will we be able to handle the pre-rego's
easily through OpenSRS? Will we need new client code? Will
we (at the very least) be able to put orders through the RWI
from day 1 of the pre-rego phase? Will we be able to do all
this from day 1? Any ideas what the pre-rego will cost (to
us, the RSP's)?
I know it might still be a little while to go, but I need to
get things ready.
Other questions we need sorted out before-hand:
I understand that the pre-rego is effectively a lottery -
with one being picked randomly at the end. Now - is each
registrar still only going to accept one pre-rego for each
domain, or is each registrar (or OpenSRS, anyway) going to
accept multiple entries for same domain? If the latter,
users could increase their chances by "buying more lottery
tickets" from a single registrar.
The way I understand it, each registrar gets only one
attempt at each domain... so, if a registrar accepts many
pre-regs for a single domain, which one do they put forward?
