Typically we don't accept pre-registrations; ICANN's stance against them is
somewhat compelling. However, if a person did accept pre-registrations, (and
Resellers have always been free to do so, provided they had their own means
of dealing with the queue), I would imagine that only one chit per name
would be allowed. That, of course, would be a function of how big a cash
grab the Registrar was making.....I can't see any truth to the line of
reasoning that says you could increase your chances by booking duplicate
names with the same registrar...the only reason the first order would not
work for you (given a first come, first served model) would be:
a) badly formed order
b) another registrar already got it.
Ordering the same name through multiple registrars would probably be the way
to increase your chances.
Theoretically, of course.
