Hi William,
Actually this one is because it effect all of us dealing with the .CA domains.
in your case
it is not a big deal as you are not reselling the .CA. It is this very reason the spam
is as bad as
it is in the first place in the US. If people would put their foot down and stand up
to their rights
the spam would be minimal. Instead it has grown to the point where everyone has come
to think
that it is ok to spam who they want when they feel like it. Normally on 90% of the
mail I do hit
the delete key. What makes this one different is the principle. Are you going to allow
someone
to use the domain database to start mass mailing you? If that is the case we could be
dealing
with 1000s of messages day, never from the same person that would be impossible to
filter out.
On top of that all those who have access to the database are not only mailing you but
your
clients and if your clients are pissed about the mail that effects you and your
business as well.
So everyone loses. We have a zero tolerance policy for spammers and if all ISPs and
hosting
companies would follow similar the the spam market would die in a heart beat. :-)
A bill should be passed that forces mailing list operators to verify via a
phone call and
with the an e-mail return verification encrypted system.
