The other problem I've seen is that they VERY often don't send it. I can't
tell you how many customers came to me wondering what happened...
The hurdle for those wishing to complain is that you can't prove a negative.
You can't prove they DIDN'T send it. It's a perfect racket for NSI.
"We got a transfer request and, in accordance with the modified
agreement, sent out a auth request by email."
"I NEVER got ANYTHING from you."
"Well, we sent it and you can't prove we didn't. Why don't you try again?
I'm sure it'll work the second time around... Oh, your domain is expired now?
Too bad. Will that be MasterCard or Visa?"
This EXACT exchange (well, words to that effect) has taken place over
at least a dozen customer domains in the past 45 days.
