If memory serves me right, they put the domains on hold 30 days past
expiration.

Since their business policy is to NOT approve registrar transfer requests
near or after expiration, your choices are to either pay nsi or wait for
deletion.  Deletion is not the only option.

You can only complain if, in the end, you don't get the services paid for
(a one year renewal from netsol).  If the transfer does not complete until
46 days after the original expiration, the registry will not automatically
roll back the year.  Currently you are at last 30 days past original
expiration so you have a max of 15 days to try and get the transfer
completed in order to file a valid chargeback.
