Same applies to email, right? Email can be saved and Phone calls can be recorded. You can mis-dial a phone number and mis-type an email. You can email automatically and you can dial the phone automatically. You can direct an email to a person and you can ask to speak to that person on the phone.
I see nothing inherently more secure in using email. -Dave Walton -----Original Message----- From: Dave Warren [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, December 19, 2001 6:48 PM To: Dave Walton; Kris Benson; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Yo TUCOWS what's up with this? Harder to prove that the request is valid, if nothing else. How do you prove what number you called and who you spoke to? The other problem is that you might not speak to the right contact right away. Not just anyone at a company/phonenumber can authorize a transfer request, right? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave Walton" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Kris Benson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, December 19, 2001 4:23 PM Subject: RE: Yo TUCOWS what's up with this? > Why would a verbal agreement - on the phone number listed with the Domain > registration, not be adequate? > Isn't that just like using the listed email address for verification? -- The nice thing about standards, there is enough for everyone to have their own.
