I think to remove all doubt as to whether the names are being transferred to preferred partners, the names should be put into the Verisign batch pool for deletion at the standard 2 pm time. Personally, I don't care if someone is going to have extra information as to which names have the best traffic, via the "hot DNS" after 40 days. The important point is whether or not the domains get deleted. Since we all know that one can set things up to "time" the deletion so that a specific person will pick it up (by arranging to hammer the registry at a specific time for that name), having all the names drop at 2 pm along with the Schlund names, NSI names, and other registrar names, would remove any impression of impropriety, as far as I'm concerned.
