This is not a good thing -- what makes you think that you'd even have a
chance at a name, if the Registrar dictates its future? Especially when
it comes to NSI names -- they'd love to have 100% control over names
that are currently registered there.

NameWinner plays by the rules -- they go after names that drop
properly. They don't try to change the rules so that they don't drop at
all. Given NameWinner's poor results at catching the top names of late,
that goes to show that the system is "fair" -- every registrar has a
chance to get the top names, and so they get spread around, instead of
having 100% of them going to UltSearch, Domain Deluxe, NetKing, Domain
Collection, Signature Names, etc. Registrars can pick a business model
on how to monetize the *attempt* at the name, but they shouldn't be
able to control the deletion process itself.

Sincerely,
