Eric...

My sincere condolences, however:

We don't have an authoritative list, we only find out when we try to process
the domain at the registry, so we can't check it.

There IS list of all municipalities published by the Gov't of Canada but
afaik it's not free (and actually quite expensive, subscription based)

I *did* find something from the Government that has a list of names, but I
don't know how accurate this is, and you'll likely have to get permission
from the Gov't of Canada to take the information from this site. I'll see
if there's anything we can do to get a list locally, and alter our lookups
to suit.

The format for the URL is 10.X.9999.html where X is:

1 = Alberta, 2 = British Columbia, 3 = Manitoba, 4 = New Brunswick, 5 =
Newfoundland, 6 = Northwest Territories, 7 = Nova Scotia, 8 = Nunavut, 9 =
Ontario, 10 = Prince Edward Island, 11 = Quebec, 12 = Saskatchewan, 13 =
Yukon

But I don't know
