We will just have to wait and see what his attorneys say. He said he will keep us updated. But I'm telling you, this.
If someone stole, Microsoft.com I guarantee you, they would sue the freaking hell out of you, and they would take
every penny you ever LOOKED at. GUARANTEED. I don't care what anyone says, it CAN BE DONE.

I have a Business Trust, that everyone says, oh, their are not advantages to it, blah, blah, blah, but every January,
when most people in the US are scared to death to find out how much taxable income they have, I LOVE to
find out, cause I can then make a Contribution to the CHARITY of my choice, and write it off on THE PREVIOUS
years taxes, therefore I always have 0.00 in taxable income. REMEMBER, THOSE WITH THE GOLD MAKE THE
RULES, AND THEY ALL HAVE BUSINESSES THAT COULD BE STOLEN, THEIR IS A WAY TO SUE THEM FOR
IT!!!! Another one, if you where to STEAL Tucows.com, or one of theirs, I bet you, they would have SOME WAY,
of getting it back. They would not have to go get Tucuws.com or some lame secondary name. They paid for it,
and they have EVERY RIGHT TO KEEP IT, SO LONG AS THEY ABIDE BY THE RULES OF THE REGISTRATION
AGREEMENT.

If I worked for Verisign, God forbid, and I took away someone's domain, and they did NOT, break the agreement, then I WOULD BE BREAKING IT, therefore they would be entitled to compensation, for many reasons, negligence, is one, and a VERY POWERFUL one too. Ask ANY doctor!

If they took one of my domains, that I use for business, I'd have a TOP rated law firm, all over their behinds, and I guarantee, they'd have a bunch of people digging in the books, to find SOME law, SOMEWHERE, that would have a precedent set, where I would be able to have a Suit against whoever took it, as well as to whoever allowed it to be taken.

Geeze, in Texas, A man hired some illegal Immigrants, and they could not read English, but he gave them some
poison spray to kill weeds, and they sprayed it near his PRIZE bull, and it died, so he sued the makers of the poison for NEGLIGENCE of not putting the warning also in Spanish. That man won over 2 million dollars. That is a LOT OF BULL,
but it was his fault, he KNEW they where not even suppose to be here, and yet he hired them. He probably only paid up to $30,000.00 for that bull, and could have easily got another one for that much. That Bull was NO WAY WORTH 2 million
bucks!!! I'm just saying that, JURIES LOVE TO GIVE away RICH companies money and the VALUE don't matter when it
comes to NEGLIGENCE!! I KNOW he can take it to court, and I don't think verisign can win this one, they ARE IN THE
WRONG!!! If you seen someone get killed, you could sue the killer for TRAUMA, and your saying that he can ONLY
recover the VALUE of the domain? Ok, maybe for the value, but then when your suing someone, you can collect for
damages, and much, much more, I know, I've had family members that where sued.

At any rate, this is well, beyond the purpose of this Discussion List, so I'd like to just wait and hear what this guys
attorneys have to say on it.

Thanks
Richard.

Actually that is like comparing apples to oranges. A domain is a BUSINESS OR a personal site.

No, it isn't.  A domain is the way you REACH a site.  It's not the site.

If someone STEALS a personal site, that has no value, but a BUSINESS site, is YOUR INCOME.

And if WorldsGreatestStore.com gets stolen, if they do their customer contact right, they can continue the next day at SchmoobleFart.com with nary a glitch.

They stole his/her Business(domain for doing business), and they broke ICANN's policy in doing so. Therefore, it don't matter what their Agreement is, they have to abide by ICANN's rules, GRANTED, they don't always, but they cannot make an Agreement, which breaks ICANN's agreement they agreed to, it won't hold up in a court of law, that I do know.

And those rules say they get reimbursed for the registration.  Period.
