Actually, software is their real business hense the name "Godaddy Software"... They spam their customer will ads for their tax software, web design software, clip art/stock photo software, and other software products. Ans yes, they also spam their registration customers for hosting but I think the software is a the main revenue source for them. Registration is just a loss leader to get a list of customers to spam...
