This is not something publicly traded companies can or do say. Once
you go public it is all up to the shareholders.

Being a publicly traded company, I would imagine there are strict
policies in place there which state what employees can and cannot
comment on in these lists. Since any statement on this matter by an
employee can potentially move the market in not one, but two stocks
I'll bet standing orders exist not to comment on this type of thing,
ever.

It's only a rumour folks. Deal with it when and if it happens.
