FTC attorney is the same attorney who handled the "someone is about to register your domain " scam by EDNM, he is very accessible by phone

STAFF CONTACTS:

Stephen L. Cohen
Bureau of Consumer Protection
202-326-3222; 326-2310

he can possibly answer your questions regarding the case

You are absolutely right, DROA is not letting up at all -  what you need to do is call Mr Cohen at FTC === AFTER YOU OBTAIN A FAX COPY OF THOSE NOTICES FROM YOUR CUSTOMERS< he will give you his fax number and most likely ask you to fax him the evidence

As a part of the ruling, DRoA is obligated to send out an email informing their
"customers" that they have the option to be paid to be transfered out. The
text of this email is defined by the FTC ruling. You can download a copy of
this (in pdf format).

What I've not seen however is _any_ evidence that DRoA is complying with this.
The ruling came down a couple of days before Christmas, and DRoA is supposed to
maintain a link on their website about this.

Does anyone know anything on dates by when DROA would be required to act on
this?

Thanks,

Doug.

Apparently he got it back.. Not sure, how, but he just did. Now he is
attempting to get his cash back.. Strange.

- NOT STRANGE
See FTC.GOV
they just ordered DROA to cease and desist their deceptive practices and
refund customers money
I HOPE OPENSRS can assist us (I know there are some tools in RWI to do
this, but since DROA is enom reseller, we may need OPENSRS HELP) - to
determine which one of our domains were lost to DROA - we plan to mail
all those scammed customers a copy of the FTC documents and make them
aware they can get their money back and their domain recovered!

see:
http://search.ftc.gov/query.html?qt=DROA&col=hsr&col=news&col=full
(( or simply go to www.ftc.gov and search their site on DROA ))

Many customers do not even know they were scammed - but having a list of
those domains lost to DROA will help us to recover them

cheers
