They are still still at it, in the US & Canada.  We're usually listed as the
tech-contact on domains we register, so we see a copy of the email request from
ENOM to confirm the transfer, and use this is a trigger to let the customer
know something bad is getting ready to happen to their domain.  This (and
having the domain locked) is 99% effective in preventing the domain from
transfering out.  We continue to see these transfer requests on a daily basis.
