If you had made it clear that instead of taking precautions against your employer's communications policy and disciplinarian measures, you were taking precautions against my inability to distinguish your speech from your employer's, I would have been even more cynical. I've been used to reading the name in the From: field for many years. Moreover, it rarely affects my interpretation of the words that are written (I can't recall such an occasion).
