My music consumption habits represent not a pathological need to break
the law so much as a legal situation that no longer reflects
mainstream social norms.

For example, I am regularly listening to hip-hop mixtapes that include
literally hundreds of unauthorized samples. This is not an outsider
pathological practice but a daily habit among thousands and thousands
of fans.
