BTW, looking at my illumos code base that I use for our XStreamOS distribution, I've seen that the aac driver has been modified since August. The driver working on the storage has been updated in August, after pulling the sources and rebuilding the distro IPS. Then, I pulled again sources during these months, and rebuilt the IPS, but did not update the storage with the new kernel. Any chance the rebuilt driver will not fail? Gabriele. I think that the zfs kernel threads are requesting this info from time to time, I suspect that calling 'zpool ' could initiate such calls, as well as scrubs and health checks.
