Depends on what you call "free". Deep-linking is not just a problem with Flash,
but with AJAX/DHTML apps as well. Assuming a heavy AJAX front-end, roughly the
same amount of work must be done in Javascript as much as Actionscript in
Flash. Our team has had to deal with issues when developing both Flash and AJAX
front-ends, and neither were all that easy.
