I was pretty surprised to find there really aren't many solutions out there, for some of the things Sharepoint (and Websphere, and Plumtree/Aqualogic) are being asked to do. And across all varieties and flavors I've seen (including Mambo, Joomla, Documentum, stretching to iGoogle, SAP & a glimpse at Oracle's portal once)...they're all pretty shoddy for some things and pretty "okay" at most others. You can make most of them do wonderful things, but you shouldn't have to =]
