I've also had the "joy" of working with Sharepoint multiple times and haven't really enjoyed it either. My first complaint is that is doesn't work the same in different browsers (of course but hey I'm still complaining). I can only see and do certain things if I'm using IE which I don't normally do. I also do not like the idea that you have to "check out" items to work with them in a shared fashion. My last complaint (that I'll log here... oh there are more!) echos the dumping ground philosophy. Currently my company has implemented this solution across our business operations team. Each part of the group has their own site, and everyone's navigation is extremely different. It is impossible for me to find things for different groups or project teams. Ah ok I'm done sort of ranting now.
