I love posts that start with "with all due respect", so ... Dave, with all due respect, I don't understand what you're talking about. What do you mean 'nothing new now from before' and 'took a snapshot'?
The IxDA Manifesto is: "We believe that the human condition is increasingly challenged by poor experiences. IxDA intends to improve the human condition by advancing the discipline of Interaction Design." You could just as easily replace IxDA with IAI and "Interaction Design" with "Information Architecture". The point is that both orgs share the same fundamental belief - "Experiences are poor and we want to improve them".
