While I understand what you mean regarding the potential negative
connotation in the term, "activist", I dislike the "vocal" adjective
for the same reason.  To me, "vocal" implies we're going to publicly
whine about nobody understanding us and not do anything about it.

Perhaps someone could suggest a less objectionable term.  The reason I
chose the "activist" adjective was that it clearly expressed that this
would be part of the organization that would be actively charged with
seeking _change_ in both corporate and public policy.
