It carries the connotations of being helpful and useful, without being argumentative. Also, I think that's what we're really trying to accomplish here; we're trying to guide the broader public to a better understanding of our profession, both to increase the visibility of best practices among people who are System Administrators and don't know it, and to better explain the way System Administration underpins most of modern society. - Adam Compton
