Some might say that "beat them down before they finish the project"
isn't the best way to encourage them to finish the project. I'd be one
of that "some" myself. YMMV.

Which "cheapest version of Windows 7" are you referring to? I know 32
bit Home has a minimum of 1GB, whereas 64 bit Home has a minimum of
2GB, but I don't know of any versions sold on non-netbooks that have a
max of 2GB. You're referring to 32-bit Starter, I'm guessing?
