I'd go there too if my employer was paying for it. There is simply no substitute for experiencing a place with your own eyes. In my twenties I was stationed overseas and when the stint was done, I deliberately took a three month leave of absence so I could travel further and see the world. It's one of the most enriching things I ever did in my life. Make sure you have a good camera with you. The caveat is that there are a few countries in the world where criticism of the government is a crime - Iran is one of those. I would be very wary if a political conversation comes up and your opinion on the matter is requested. I would also try to get a primer on social protocols ahead of time, e.g., from a coworker from there. When in Rome, do like the Romans. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] https://lists.lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
