To be clear, I am not in favor of ”cospace” with anyone.

I want “ourspace” (as in SkullSpace).

a key to our stability.

They are not brothers. They are friends of mine. I've already spoken with them
about possible skullspace location in the cospace. They are discussing the
possibilities now.

I was talking to 2 brothers (I assume they are brothers) trying to start a

Plan is to rent out office for $100 a month. Maybe we can touch base with them.

I'd just like to point something out...

I currently work for a company called Daemon Defense. We operate out of the
Smart Park offices in the land in front of the University of Manitoba. In
particular, our office (about 800 sq feet) is housed in a building called the
Eurika Project. The Eurika project houses many interesting companies:
http://www.eurekaproject.ca/our-clients/

Notable companies in my mind (that SkullSpacers would be interested in: )

Complex Games (incedently,
http://newmediamanitoba.com/news/2012/07/19/complex-games-secures-480-000-for-mobile-game-iron-skies
is talking about Complex Games who's offices are 60 feet from me).

Project WhiteCard (who is making the NASA MMO and a Project Entropia Mobile
Client)

Daemon Defense (we do hosting, streaming, and cloud construction)

MERLIN (in the same building, not technically part of the eurika project;
MERLIN runs the educational networks that connect all the schools in Manitoba).

CANARIE (since MERLIN is in this building, there is a fiber patch panel here
that has multiple 10Gbps fiber strands all across canada).

Now, while I'm not advocating my particular building, I am advocating the
"types" of buildings that appeal to those "types" of companies.

I could see a lot of synergies that could happen with the right management and
the right physical proximity to these kinds of companies (especially ones that
are operating on government grants and that would get better tax rates if they
were to help SkullSpace out for various things).

Dan,

The patience comment was more aimed at people who are conflicted with
what SkullSpace is about or what it is becoming. I think our core
beliefs will follow us to our new place, but our organisation is
definitely poised for change.

I've experienced the kind of "drop-in" office setting NMM is hoping to
create - I've used them in NYC. This is a service that will be
appreciated by the people who need that kind of environment, but I
think in the long-term that the membership to something like this will
be more occasional than anything. Did you know there's also drop-in
office space at Portage & Main? I don't know the company name, but for
a cheap price you get a small room with a secretary-manned phone and
front desk. NMM is joining the ranks of the drop-in office world and
that's great, but it's not what SkullSpace is about at all. I think
this is just one of the clear differences between an org like NMM and
SkSp.
