The funny thing is, I often consider changing subjects in  emails I'm
sending, but then PEOPLE LIKE JUSTIN spring to mind and I rarely do.

I also want to send emails like "Regarding this thing or that" and want
to send it as "Re:  this thing or that" but now I can't because now that
means it's a reply and people get *terribly* confused. ramble ramble

She's right, people never go off topic on message boards!

Seriously though, Mark handled going off-topic exactly how you're
supposed to on mailing lists. Change the subject, maintain the
threading. There's lots of good reasons to do it like that, probably a
few reasons you shouldn't. But whatever!
