I did a little test tonight on hot swapping between ABS colours, and
the results turned out pretty decently:

https://pic.twitter.com/0ybanbLmKP
https://pic.twitter.com/61b6oqfnpJ

Note: These instructions assume that the ABS types are similar enough
to have the same settings when generating gcode. The natural and black
seemed to work fine with the settings we've been using so far.

1) Print until you wish to change colours
2) Immediately enter the following commands: PAUSE - Reverse 4mm
(approx) - Go up 40 units on the Z axis. The reverse is so you don't
spill over what you've printed already
3) Replace the filament with your second colour
4) extrude 20mm to make sure the new roll is loaded, using a pair of
needle-nose pliers to keep anything from dripping onto your model.
5) resume the print
6) There is no step 6

WARNING: Never return the head to home while the printer is paused!
When the print resumes, it reverses every action you performed to get
back into position. What's the reverse of going to Z-Home? Burrowing
down into the center of the earth, that's what.

I had the print head crash into the bed today on account of the issue
above - thankfully I had one hand on the kill switch. I re-taped and
leveled the bed before printing again, it looks to be in perfect
working order. Re-taping was probably overkill, but I figured it was
time to clean it up a bit.
