We got the end stop with the kit. A replacement should be available from
makerstoolworks.com. A microswitch could also be used if we can figure a
way to attach it. In the mean time we can still use the "piece of paper"
method of zeroing. If you need a refresher check old revisions of the wiki.

This should not have happened. Is it possible the endstop came
disconnected? I suppose the firmware could have gone insane when it froze
up and that is why it didn't obey the endstop. In the future, we should
probably completely power down and disconnect the usb cable when recovering
from a crash to ensure the firmware gets reset. This now makes me wonder if
the freezing problem is caused by the firmware and not the computer. Maybe
we should see if any other user are reporting this and check if there is a
more recent version of the Marlin firmware.
