I use a Harmony remote for my SB and love it. It's the old 670 model, that can be had for around $100 new. Yes, the online software is a bit goofy, but once you get used to it, it does the job.
I control my flatscreen, hi-def cable box, A/V receiver, another pre-amp and amp for whole house audio, a third amp for outdoor speakers, DVD, CD and SB with it. I have 3 separate volume controls programmed into it. All without any paging on the remote.
