1) No you can use the variable output on the SB. Personally I don't like the idea of this, but I believe you can do it. 2) If you want different tracks played in each zone, you need a SB for each zone. 3) Only use one pair of speakers per zone, or if you use two, use two sets of 8ohm speakers with a decent amp. Or use A / B switching only using room A with room B off, and likewise B on A off. Or if you do switch on both speakers, as long as you're not at party levels a good amp should power two sets of speakers at the same time.
There was a discussion a while ago and a Marantz amp popped up, I think 6 channel poweramp, remote controllable per stereo channel. If you do go that route (SB fixed 100% line out rather than SB variable out) You need to have a another remote, RF to IR for the Marantz. I believe you can control IR devices from the SB headphone output with a plugin and a IR blaster wire. -- badbob ------------------------------------------------------------------------ badbob's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7358 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=58724 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
